Speed up Content Loading For User and Improve FCP/LCP

Content preloading is one way to speed up content loading for users. This improves the user experience, along with the FCP/LCP scores (First Contentful Paint and Largest Contentful Paint). It is extremely important that the content of the visible part of the screen (images and text) loads as quickly as possible.

The Add-on allows you to tell the browser which resources (for example, a font, script or style) should be downloaded and cached as soon as possible. This is useful when a resource is needed a few seconds after the page loads - and you want to speed up the process. The order in which resources are loaded is also configurable.33333

6. Establishing a preliminary connection (preconnect and preconnect crossorigin)

Preloading resources works great if the resources are located on your server, but if the resource is located on a third-party domain, then you not only need to tell the browser to load the resource as soon as possible, but also reduce the time it takes to establish a connection to the third-party domain as much as possible. Establishing a new connection usually takes a few hundred milliseconds. By setting up a pre-connection, you will save time and download resources from this domain faster.

You can configure the preload of fonts, images, scripts, styles, but you need to approach the issue intelligently.
